剧情：
加里（杰·摩尔 Jay Mohr 饰）和妻子艾莉森（宝拉·马歇尔 Paula Marshall 饰）已经携手走过了十五个年头了，两人共同抚养着两个可爱的孩子路易斯（劳拉·马兰洛 Laura Marano 饰）和汤姆（瑞恩·麦格雷尼 Ryan Malgarini 饰）。十五年的时间实在是太漫长了，长到已经完全磨灭了他们的爱情火花，想到未来还有几十年要过，难道生活一直都要这样继续下去吗？加里和艾莉森决定离婚，去追寻新的幸福。 解散一个历史悠久的家庭并不是一件容易的事情，他们要解决的问题和麻烦简直多如牛毛，其中最棘手的当然是两个孩子的心理疏导问题。随着时间的推移，加里结识了新女友也加入了这场混战之中。
